Autocorrect not working on iPhone after update

I have noticed the auto correct feature has stopped working after i updated my phone in early September 2026. Has Apple changed something or is there a fix?

I’d check Settings > General > Keyboard first and make sure Auto-Correction is still turned on. You can also turn it off, restart the iPhone, then turn it back on.

I’d also install the latest iOS update available for your iPhone. Apple’s current iOS 26 release notes include keyboard accuracy improvements, so this may be software-related.

If it’s still happening, which iOS version is installed now?
