I Pre-ordered an iPhone 18 Pro yesterday. I got the confirmation and a Wxxxx number on the last webpage. However, I have not received an confirmation email. If I look up the Wxx number on Apples order-status page, it says "The information you entered does not match our records." I have tried calling their support, but they are closed until Monday.
Is there a chance I still have a "reservation" or should I order it again?
I wouldn’t place a second order yet. That could leave you with two orders if the first one is still being processed.
Apple says the W-number shown after checkout is a web order number, and the confirmation email normally follows after the order is received.
Check your spam/junk folder and, if you ordered while signed in, check your order list using your Apple Account rather than entering the W-number manually.
Since the order-status page still doesn’t recognize it, I’d keep the W-number and contact Apple Store support when they reopen. They can confirm whether the preorder actually exists before you try ordering again.
