Siri on Apple Watch cannot set timers or alarms after WatchOS 27 update

I have Apple Watch Series 11 (GPS) and iPhone 17. Both have just been updated to IOS and Watch OS 27. Previously I could lift my watch to my face and ask it to set a timer or alarm for a specified time. After the upgrade to IOS/Watch OS 27, Siri spins a bit and then tells me it can't complete the request because the clock app is not on the device, even though it is. I can set the timer or alarm manually by going to the timer/alarm apps but not via Siri now. Anyone have similar experience? Thoughts on how to resolve? I have done a reset of the watch, but no change.

That isn’t expected behavior. Apple’s watchOS 27 guide still lists setting alarms and timers with Siri as supported. → Take action with Siri on Apple Watch - Apple Support

Since the Timer and Alarms apps work manually, I’d try resetting Siri rather than the Watch again. On the iPhone go to Settings > Siri (or Apple Intelligence & Siri) > Talk & Type to Siri, turn Siri off, then turn it back on. Restart both devices afterward. Apple specifically recommends that step when Siri isn’t working properly on Apple Watch. → If Siri isn't working on your Apple Watch - Apple Support

Also try the same “set a timer” request directly on the iPhone. If it works there but the Watch still says the Clock app isn’t installed, that points more toward a watchOS 27/Siri issue. I wouldn’t erase or unpair the Watch again at this point.

Same here. Can’t set a timer with Siri SI on my Apple Watch Ultra 2. Siri responds by saying it can’t set a timer because the clock app is not available on this device. I can only set a timer manually on the Apple Watch using the Timer App.

Turning Siri off and back on did not fix mine. I am on the Siri beta if that makes a difference.

I have not. I am on the public release of iOS 27.0, but on the Siri “beta”.
