My Apple Watch app menu isn't how I like it

My Apple Watch Digital Crown behaves weirdly after the update, any way to restore old behaviour?

So I got watchOS 27 because I thought you could disable the new dynamic app grid, but you can't. So can someone tell me how to fix this? My Apple Watch is a Watch7,14. I've heard this is not able to be disabled. Apple should at least include a toggle to restore old behaviour in watchOS 27.0.1 or 27.1.

This is what I see after the update:

Can someone please tell me how to disable this?

Sorry, but you can not change this at this time, but you can tell Apple Techs directly about your wishes by using the Feedback link:

I like it, too. I've put in feedback in the past suggesting that there be an option to sort the apps by usage. This is close enough.

It’s possible that some people haven’t discovered that if you swipe up on the first display the traditional display appears.

And it also shows that Feedback actually affects things.

Why does Apple add features that no one wants and then make them permanent without the option to disable them? It is very annoying to want to use your watch for something, but you first have to deal with that annoying mini-menu that shows your random apps (not even the ones you use the most or the most recently) to access your main menu. Why add features for the pleasure of adding when they won't solve any issue whatsoever and only create more frustration for users? Steve Jobs will die again watching what Apple becomes after him (for the second time).

This is a user-to-user tecnical support forum. No one here would know why Apple does or does not do something unless they explicitly state it. And they usually don't say anything about the hundreds of smaller changes they make.

You can certainly let Apple know your thoughts here:

Unless you knew Mr. Jobs personally, I doubt you can really speak for what he would think. But if we're speculating about something neither of us really knows anything about, he'd probably still be mad about the Pencil. He's on record as having hated such an idea. I notice, though, that when talking about the Pencil, no one ever worries about what he would have thought because most people like the idea.

I actually majorly prefer the new display of apps on the watch. Don't assume "no one wants" something just because you prefer something else.

Wrong on that front also. Steve Jobs famously said that customers don't know what they want until Apple develops it and shows it to them. Henry Ford said something similar -- don't ask people what they want because they will say they want a faster horse.

Turning the digital crown also works. Or, of course, tapping the icon...

Are you suggesting that people should experiment with the new options? You must be one of those young folks who is so much more comfortable with technology. ;-)
