iPhone 18 Pro overheating

Bought the new iPhone 18 Pro, and it’s been overheating all the time, even when I’m just browsing websites. I’m really starting to doubt the quality, especially considering the price you pay for it.

Like the 17 Pro’s before it, your 18 is doing a lot of background task such as indexing, syncing and optimization. Apple notes this if you open your Settings app and/or Battery settings and you’ll see notices. Tap the arrow and follow the link to an article.

A forced restart may help as well.

Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

To speed up the process, charge your iPhone overnight, connected to WiFi and locked. Give 2 to 5 days depending on the amount of data on your device.
