Katana's link is spot on, but just for clarification, you can't test drive an app and then expect a refund, it's not the way it works.

Apps that offer testing periods will have a free trial and then a paid subscription,. you can cancel the free trial before you are charged for the paid subscription at any point before the free trial ends and it renews.

If you did not cancel on time, or the app is a paid for app withour a free trial, then there is no real direct refund process. You can request a refund, but it's at the sole discretion of Apple and in no way guaranteed to be granted when you do.
