Unable to add payment card

Please try this

Check Bank and Region Support

• Bank Support: Contact your bank or card issuer to make sure they support Apple Pay. 
• Region Settings: Confirm your device region matches your location. Go to Settings > General > Language & Region to verify your region is set correctly. 
• Country Match: Make sure you are in a supported country or region and that your Apple Account region matches. 

Verify Device and Security Settings

• Software Update: Update your iPhone or device to the latest version of iOS or iPadOS. 
• Passcode and 2FA: Check that you have Face ID, Touch ID, or a device passcode set up, and ensure two-factor authentication is turned on for your Apple Account. 
• Alternative Method: If the Wallet app fails, try adding the card through Settings > Wallet & Apple Payinstead of the Wallet app directly. 
• Network & VPN: Ensure you have a stable internet connection and temporarily turn off any active VPNs or strict screen time privacy restrictions.

You can’t add a payment method if your account has unpaid balances, a pending purchase or a region mismatch.

Make sure your billing address matches your region, clear any pending charges and try again.

Check your payment method in Settings ➢ [your name] ➢ Payment & Shipping, ensure it’s valid and update if needed. Also, sign out and back into your Apple Account, then try again.

If it still fails, contact Apple Support directly.
