Peer to peer migration. How long does it take? I am migrating from a ten-year-old Mac to the latest Mac. Started the migration 30 hours ago.

Had this problem where Wi-Fi appeared to timeout/disconnect. The transfer protocol doesn't appear to recover or error. Changed to a wired connection and transferred went smoothly. OS version on the Macbook Pro didn't help

It can take a long time but after 30 hours I would expect some sign of progress. Use a wired connection whenever possible.
Thanks John, I recently ordered a Thunderbolt cable and it arrives today. The transfer still continues!
