In the most recent update (Tahoe 26.5, I believe), Apple Music no longer shows the star rating system. I enjoyed using it to quickly see which songs I like more. It's not lost; you can find it in "Get Info" but 'tis a hassle.
I find this frustrating and would like to ask for it back. What's the best method for this?

You can include it when viewing a list of songs. Just go to the View menu in Apple Music and choose the Show View Options menu. Then all you need to do is place a checkmark next to Ratings.

Ok, on that same menu you have showing in your Screenshot, choose "as Songs", with that same playlist selected. Then the Show View Option will be available for you to choose "Ratings".
We're so close! I see that for songs. But for playlists, "Show View Options" is still greyed out. I have updated to Golden Gate 27.0, in case there may have been anything new.
As far as I can tell, Apple has just removed this feature from playlists and leans toward a single "favorite" items.

Thanks for replying, Jim. I do see that, thank you. It works for songs, so points! But it's greyed out in playlists, I'm trying to add visible ratings to playlists if possible.
Looks like Command-J should do that function as well.

Update your Mac:
macOS 26.7 is the latest macOS Tahoe version. So, go to Apple menu > About This Mac > Version.
Important:
Back Up your Mac First: Be certain you Create a Time Machine Backup of your Mac, so that way you can have something to restore your Mac from, should anything go wrong with the upgrade.

Ok, we are getting there. Make sure you have a Playlist selected you have created from your Library and not a Smart Playlist or a recommendation from Apple Music. Then you should see the Show View Options and be able to select Ratings, just like you see when Songs is selected. The Show View Options is limited when you have a Smart Playlist selected or one added from an Apple Music recommendation on your Home page, but you will see Ratings on those Playlists too after you add it to your View Option with one of your created Playlists selected.
