with tvos 27 powering up Apple TV no longer launches the last app used!!

also, after updating the tvos 27, powering on Apple TV, no longer launches into the last app used. THIS IS VERY BAD.

Fix it, Apple or I’ll go to Roku or someone else I can’t believe you did this. I read that you did this on purpose. You need to change that mess back.

yes, I submitted feedback two days ago and I called support today. Support didn’t know anything about it. But I read online and it could be wrong because it was an AI summary that you guys changed this in tvos 27.

Somebody sent me an email. Tell me something? I never would’ve updated if I knew this would happen! You should have warned us. Old people don’t like this “stuff”.

these forums are user helping other users like yourself, it's sort of going to a physical apple store and asking other customers their advice

workaround: create a siri shortcut to have app apple tv to open your preferred app.

This is a user to user support forum.

All I can say is my Apple TV has never booted into the last app used.

Buy whatever device suits your needs, threatening to buy something else is meaningless.

Neither has mine, and if it did, I’d be looking for a way to turn the feature off. What a pain in the tush.
