Ipod 2s no longer plays audio from iTunes on windows 11 system.

Ipod 2s no longer plays audio from iTunes on windows 11 system. One day it did and the next it does not. I have unpaired the homepods, uninstalled them, uninstalled Itunes and they still don't play. They show up and I can connect to them via Airplay in Itunes but they don't actually play music. I can airplay from my Iphone to them with no issues. They are running 27.2 Beta now. The issue arose when installing 27.0.

have you tried to use the apple music app from the windows app store?

with macOS Catalina (10.15) (in 2019) on macs itunes was removed/retired and replaced by the apple music, appletv and pod cast apps

while itunes still exist on windows then since apple introduced most of the apps that replaced it on macos on windows too, then I doubt they put efforts into making sure the old itunes app still works well with newer os updates on apple equipment.

Same issue persists on the Windows Apple Music app. After updating my HomePod mini to v27.0, it is no longer able to AirPlay from my Windows 11 PC running Apple Music. Same issue occurs on my Windows 10 PC running iTunes. AirPlay to Windows PCs was working fine with v26.6, so I suspect it the new 27.0 update dropped some legacy AirPlay support.

I have an older HomePod mini that is on v18.5, it is still able to AirPlay from both my Windows PCs. Won't be updating that one until a fix for 27.0 is out.
