Safari bookmarks show duplicate titles after dragging

A warning if you consider yourself an expert in navigating the bookmark sidebar in Safari: In Golden Gate it's possible to misclick on a bookmark, drag up or down on the list, and drop duplicate titles where they don't belong on different bookmarks. Consider this example:

These are links to eight different sites, but due to the link-dragging bug, the same titles have spread to links where they literally have no business.

While a fix for this would be nice, I'm just going to be more careful while dragging my links around. You might want to do the same.

I can replicate this bug every time when using a force-click and drag on a bookmark on the sidebar in Safari (27.0.1). The bookmark shows a blue edit highlight and then all bookmarks it is dragged over are renamed with the bookmark being dragged. This also always occurs when using a mouse.

The issue seems to be how long the trackpad or mouse button is pressed before a drag occurs. If there is a slight delay then the bookmark name is copied over all entries that it is dragged over. If the press and mouse motion occur near simultaneously then the drag is properly registered. Either way 1) the name should never be copied over the other entries when this happens, 2) the press to edit delay seem too short or not smart enough to convert to a drag if there is a slight delay.

Workaround

However if I drag using 3-finger drag this never happens, the bookmark list shows insert targets for the move as I drag the bookmark.

I have tried on multiple user profiles all have the same issue.
