Can't retrieve deleted files from a flash drive on Mac 27.0

I am using the latest OS (Golden Gate 27.0) on my Mac. How do I retrieve files deleted from a flash drive now?

Select the deleted files in the Mac's Trash icon, then File > Put Back.

The flash drive must be mounted and its Trash not already emptied (obviously).

If you went Terminal and used the UNIX rm (remove) command, you are done, as those deleted files will not be found in the Finder's Trash, or otherwise be retrievable.
