Settings, Apps, Mail, Notifications, endure everything is turned on and change the sound,

THEN in Customise Notifications at the bottom, check each account has no custom override to silence the notifications,

No Apple Watch. I’ve checked with my hearing aid manufacturer and turned off any Bluetooth devices that may cause interference. Still no audible alerts. I saw another forum thread with the same problem with an IPhone 15 Pro, so it’s obviously an IOS 27 bug.

No, it's not an iOS 27 bug. If it was a bug, it would happen to everyone who is on iOS 27, but it's not. This forum would be blown up with complaints and the tech press would be all over this, but neither is the case. I'm on iOS 27 on two iPhone's, Apple Watches and iPad's and all get a notification sound for incoming email, when appropriate. I can't know what's going on with your iPhone as I can't see the settings, etc.

I'd recommend going into the Apple Store Genius Bar for help --> Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options - Apple

Everything is turned on. Changed sound notification but still get no audible alert. I have only one email account (besides the stupid ICloud) and there is no way to silence the notifications in custom notifications. Double checked to see if my hearing aids are to blame, but still don’t receive audible alert when they are turned off.

Lets just check

Settings, Apps, Mail, Notifications, Customise Notifications

You will see two accounts, iCloud and the main account.

Tap on the main account and check that both Alerts and Badges are toggled on.

After 3 days with Apple support (5 advisors and 2 senior advisors) I can now get message notifications but still no email notifications. Not only that, the phone won’t “fetch” emails. Have to manually open the mail app to receive mail. Turned off Norton…didn’t help. Deleted and reinstalled mail app. “Hard” started multiple times. You name it, we’ve tried it. Thinking about upgrading to a new phone but worry about transferring settings, etc. from old phone to new phone and having the same problem(s).
