iPad screen mirroring has sound out of sync

Screen mirroring from my iPad A16 to my Sony Smart TV has sound out of sync by about 1 second. Solutions found from internet searches either don‘t work or don’t seem to exist. This applies to solutions in iPad settings and on the TV. Up to date software and high capacity network.

Any working solutions known please?

iPad, iPadOS 27

Your Sony TV's digital signal processing takes a finite amount of time to process and display the incoming HDMI signal - this being typical of all modern TV sets. I would make an educated guess that video lags behind the soundtrack.

In such circumstances, you will need to manually adjust your TV's audio delay settings for HDMI input to which you have presumably connected your iPad. If no delay is currently set, start by adding a 100mS (or more) delay - and then adjust up or down as necessary in 10mS steps to bring the sound into sync' with the video signal.
