Entering blank passcode for a device with no passcode set.

iMessage has asked me to enter the passcode on another device to re-enable iMessage. I do not use passcodes on any of my devices. How do I enter a blank passcode?

  • Are you using FaceID or Touch ID on any of your devices and specifically for the one that it is asking for the Passcode?
  • Are you setting up or turning on iMessage on a new device that also has enabled Messages in iCloud?
  • Have you tried turning off Messages in iCloud on your device? Go to Settings > [name on top] > iCloud > Messages and make sure it is set to off.
