My MacBook missing from Find My on iPhone and iCloud

My MacBook Pro 13-inch M1 (2020) is missing from the Devices list in Find My on my iPhone and iCloud.com/find. Find My Mac and Find My network both show as On in my Mac's iCloud settings. I've enabled Location Services and restarted my Mac, but the issue persists. In System Settings > Apple Account > Device Info, Find My Mac still showed Off previously. Could you help me troubleshoot this account or device registration issue?

Hi there

Please try this

While you mentioned turning on Location Services globally, Find My Mac requires a secondary, deeper permission level to map the hardware.

  1. Go to the Apple menu  > System Settings.
  2. Click Privacy & Security in the sidebar, then click Location Services.
  3. Scroll to the very bottom of the app list and click System Services (or the Details... button next to it).
  4. Ensure the toggle for Find My Mac is explicitly turned On.
