Hi,

It could be possible it's caused by hardware related issue. Try to run Apple Diagnostics if it reports graphics related error or run Etrecheck and paste the result here as soon as possible, before one year limited warranty is expired.

Welcome and thank you for reaching out. 🤗

First, let’s see if this issue happens in Safe Mode:

  1. Shut down your Mac.
  2. Press and hold the power button on your Mac. As you continue to hold the power button, your Mac turns on and loads startup options. When you see Options, release the power button.
  3. Select your startup disk. It's named Macintosh HD, unless you changed its name.
  4. Press and hold the Shift key, then click the “Continue in Safe Mode” button below your startup disk.
  5. Log in to your Mac. You might be asked to log in again.

If the strange behaviors do not occur, then it may possibly be a software issue.

If the issue doesn't continue in safe mode:

Leave safe mode by restarting your Mac normally, then try to reproduce the issue.

If the issue doesn't return, it might have been resolved by the other things that safe mode did at startup, such as checking your disk and clearing caches.

If the problem persists, then let’s try this:

If none of those ideas work, then I recommend service.

About a Flickering Mac Screen:

Your screen is failing either from hardware issues, a glitch in the macOS.

Based on Personal Experience:

I came across this on my 2017 Mac. The connector between the LogicBoard and the screen was loose, and I had to send it in for service 11 times, being this occurred during COVID, with no stores opened. Today, the option to take this in for service is an option. Having sent it in 11 times for service, and troubleshot it over-the-phone for (what I was told) 100 hours, Apple granted me a free replacement Mac for one that went for Equivalent of 3,000 USD at the time. All I ended up paying was the price of my AppleCare+ Plan.

So, Get this Mac Serviced...

A. Through Apple:

You'd setup a Genius Bar Appointment at your local AppleStore, taking it in for service. There, it will be diagnosed, and you'll be provided with your options.

Contact AppleUse Info

Or...

B. Trough an AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider)

  1. Go Here: Find Locations - Apple Authorized Reseller
  2. Click: Service & Support
  3. Enter: your location information
  4. See: if there is an AASP nearby
  5. Contact: an AASP that shows up, and find out more about the services that they offer to fix the Mac
