I finally got the gift card sent too my email but it won’t show me the code for it"

Apple's Shopping help website:

Eg: Payment, Financing, Refunds and VAT - Shopping Help - Apple

says:

"We send electronic Apple Gift Cards to the card recipient via email. Using this email, the recipient can easily redeem the card’s value to their Apple Account Balance for online purchases or use the PIN at an Apple Store, on apple.com, and in the Apple Store app".

Also says: "In an Apple Store, simply present the physical card or email to the cashier at time of payment."

You might want to try opening the gift card email again.

You should be able to tap or click the "Redeem Now" button ...

If the purchase was from Apple, and you need help from Apple: Call 1‑800‑MY‑APPLE 

After redeeming you may want to: Check your gift card balance - Apple Support
