Controversy on headset listening and volume settings

Why does the adds volume jump to max+ some while listening podcasts?

the increase instantly gets me on the back foot and reaching for the volDn button and I shall defenately try my best not to follow the advertized thing, wether it is bying hardware or getting into a designated gym.

After a couple of hours having the vol up for the Podcasts to be loud enough and all of a sudden you get your drums exploded, when an add interrupts the easy listening.

For me a headset setting on volume should play the same level as the initial source, cause it is obviously the reason to listen in the first place.

Anybody have a work-around to have the feed and adds playing out the same level?

Do not care. Stating facts you don't like is not an "attitude."

Pay or suffer.

You've just described Capitalism in three words. Good work.

The iOS notifies you on having your volume at ”10”, and then the commercial goons hit your brain with a significantly louder disturbing level that overseeds the feed by 10 dB.

That is something you will need to take up with the podcaster. They are the ones making money from the ads. No one here in this user-to-user forum can do anything about that.

I’d rather listen to the add on the same volume level as the feed is played,

I'm sure most of us would. Sadly, there are many things in the world we'd like to have that we are unlikely to get.

The reasoning of getting the listener’s attention by 1000 times louder add is in the wrong. For me the added volume is a turn-off and I don’t like that my ears suffer because someone wants to advertise their services or products to me in such manner.

I’d rather listen to the add on the same volume level as the feed is played, cause then I’d be hearing, what they have to say. Now all I wanna do is to turn the volume down as fast as I can, and when the pod starts playing I can hardly hear it, unless turning the volume up again.

If this is an ingrained Apple podcast feature for the advertisers, it should be fixed so, that the listener decides, how loud or silent all the noise enters your ears.
