how do i change the daily view to see my whole day instead of this terrible daily view that i have to scroll to see what is on that day?

Use finger and thumb to pinch it in vertically. What you end up with is as compact as you can get.
I can get a whole day on my little SE3 so I can only assume you have one of the zoom options enabled, either you chose a larger than default size either in setup or in Settings, Appearance.
i tried that but it does not zoom out far enough to see the whole day. This has to be the worst update feature Apple has put out for the calendars. At least the last update allowed you to still select the old view that worked so much better.
