Suspected Fraud

I rec'd a suspicious text on my ipad byt not my iphone. I called Apple customer service and there's no record of the transaction. I was also advised the customer service numbers are also fraudulent.

Can anyone confirm the numbers are associated with a scam?

Thank you for reaching out. 🤗

  • The text message you received was a scam.
  • Simply block, report and delete the message.
  • Never click any links or call phony phone numbers they provide!
  • The phony text message will never mention you by name because they don’t know it.

🛑 Apple will never send you a text message‼️⚠️

Yes. It is a scam. Apple is not going to hold you at ransom (do this or else). As it reads: "We have placed this request on hold to protect your account's security." this scammers is requesting your identity in a "get back to us or else" scheme.

So, report this:

Hello~ This is a well known scam. Just scammers doing what scammers do. Report it, delete it or both and move along with your day. Don’t interact with any scam messages at all…period. I treat any unfamiliar message as a scam until I can prove otherwise…sad but true.
