Blocked Caller List is full and it will not let me block callers now matter how many I delete

When trying to block a caller I get the message below and no matter how many blocked callers I removed it does not change. I have no idea what the limit is and have about 4,000 blocks. I had 4600 but deleted 600 so far. Any ideas

Other users have reported that once they got theirs under 3,000 they were able to block again, so that is the target you are shooting for.

You are running into an official system constraint that Apple recently introduced in iOS 26.6, which features a "Blocked Contacts Limit Reached" warning.

The exact hard limit is not officially published by Apple,
