Cyberlink Power Director & Application Manager won’t install
how do i install cyberlink power director 365 essential on my Mac (os Tahoe)?
how do i install cyberlink power director 365 essential on my Mac (os Tahoe)?
I’m downloading direct from Cyberlink.
I have a Power Director 365 for Mac subscription. It fell over after an October update. I’m trying to install Cyberlink Application Manager in order to be able to reinstall Power Director but my Mac won’t allow it. I get this message:-
“Malware blocked and moved to bin - cyberlink application manager.pkg was not opened because it contained malware. This action did not harm your Mac.”
AI suggests I can bypass the blocking via the security settings but none of the override options they mention appear.

The only one I see is this:
That's not going to run on your Mac.
Can you not just download the Power Director 365 software (for Mac) and activate from within the application?
I suggest you contact Cyberlink support about your license.
I am having the same issue and contacted CyberLink for PowerDirector 365 and Download Manager.
I was told they are trying to fix the issue with Apple. They also said they are going to extend my subscription for the days I am not able to use it. They also referred me to Apple.
Hello;
Cyberlink just e-mailed me.
Please find the screen shot below. Also the app is available on Cyberlink webpage now.
Please note that in order not to lose your projects there is also a guideline while installing saying that you need to move the older folder with a new folder. The directions appear whilst installing the software again.
I have downloaded the new version and replaced the older folder.
It is working now , my projects are back as well.
However, the app is still not available on App Store.
I downloaded it on the official website of Cyberlink.
At this point it is totally up to you to download and replace the folders.
I am using Bitdefender on my Mac and it warned be saying these apps were blocked previously and asked me if I want to trust it.
I allowed it and it is working good.
It is totally up to you whether you want to give it a try or not.
P.S I also updated my MacOS to Golden Gate . It is working.
Cheers x
This VERY FRUSTRATING!!! I Noticed the Cyberlink email in my inbox last week however I didn't read it at the time as I only use Cyberlink PowerDirector when on my Mac Studio not my MacBookPro.
Now I have just gone to open PD365 and instantly been hit with the 'Malware' warnings. After about 25 minutes of frustration trying to figure out what's going on I finally stumbled on the email I got explaining about older versions falling foul of Apples security.
So, I have followed all the steps to re-download PD365 to my MacStudio, downloaded the 'Application Manager' only for the Application Manager to now continually go around in circles from email to password and then back to email!!!! So, it wont let me log in and redownload PD365 even though my login details are correct as I can log into the Cyberlink home page. I Have disabled all security and VPNs and still have the problem. Has anyone else encountered this & gotten around it?
VERY FRUSTRATING as I'm trying to make a video for my moms funeral.

Did you purchase the program through the App Store?
The procedure for updating the program is different depending on whether you bought it directly from Cyberlink, or through the App Store. See the Cyberlink Support page that MartinR linked to, in his reply in
Thank you for the reply. Yes, I already saw that link. I Originally downloaded from the Cyberlink web page as I have been registered with them since around 2010 when I first bought an early version of PowerDirector.
I Have been on their website and I'm attempting to download the 'new' version of PowerDirector365. However as stated you have to download it via their 'Application Manager' app, it is this app I can't log into. I Download Application Manager, open it, then the log in details come up, first email, click continue, then password, click continue and it goes back to email address again!!! My password and email are both correct, they are what I use to log into my Cyberlink account. So at the moment I cant even download the new PowerDirector365 software to see if its working because I can't get into Application Manager to download it!
This is very frustrating! I Bought PD365 a couple of months ago because after buying FinalCutPro as part of my MacStudio package I found it incredibly frustrating and fiddly in comparison to the original PowerDirector I bought in 2010 which was very, very easy to use. My 88 year dad died in August this year I wanted to make a tribute video for his funeral. What had taken me 5 or 6 hours to do on FinalCutPro I decided to abandon it and buy PowerDirector365. It took me probably one hour to do on PB365 what took 5-6 on FCP.
So for the last few months I have had no problems with it whatsoever. Now sadly my 84 year old mom has now also died and again I wanted to make a tribute video for her funeral only to be hit with the 'Malware' warnings and now unable to log into Cyberlinks 'Application Manager'.
I Say again VERY FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are direct download and App Store versions. Which are you trying, and what is not working?
Thanks. Cyberlink have responded to me similarly. Hopefully it’s just a temporary outage which they’ll resolve with Apple. They’ve offered me an alternative option in the meantime.
