Be advised that gift card fraud is rampant.

Try to NOT purchase any cards on publically-accessible racks. (unfortunately a common practice in the U.S.)

Rather, try to purchase from a vendor who keeps them “behind the counter” and under “positive-control” until the actual sale.

And regardless of purchase location, thoroughly inspect the gift card’s packaging for even the slightest indication of tampering BEFORE purchasing.

If you see anything suspicious, don’t buy it and find another vendor.

You should also be FULLY aware that both gift cards AND your Apple Account balance are generally non-refundable.

Once Apple has your Pounds in their bank account …

… they’re NOT giving them back to you as cash …

… only as the equivalent value in products or services.
