IMovie wants full access to my personal pictures. Why?
iPhone 17 Pro, iOS 27
Nothing sinister.
Many people need access to photos and music to use in their films so iMovie needs access to your photos and music so that you can get to them easily if you want to include something in your video.
Then don't give iMovie access to your photos.
In any case, what do you mean by "private"?
It's your computer and nobody can see what you have on iMovie. You obviously don't understand what is going on . . . your photos will not be sent to Apple . . . they will never leave your computer and nobody will see them unless you give them to someone.
I have private photos. And think it don’t make sense. I have no option to select those I want to use. It is BS. Downloaded a non apple related program instead. I I gotta use 3 pictures, don’t understand why 3500 pictures has to be available.
not happy and not having it.
