iCloud contacts vCard export to New Outlook imports only the first contact

I am trying to export to vCard all my iCloud contacts and import them to New Outlook. When I select all contacts and export to vCard and open in New Outlook only the first contact appears in New Outlook. I have 800 iCloud contacts. The export file is labeled with the name of the first contact "and 799 others". I'm following instructions I have found in the community and on the web. Please help me know how to export all iCloud contacts to New Outlook.

Hi there

Please try this

1. Convert the vCard (.vcf) file to CSV via Windows Contacts

  1. Open File Explorer on your Windows computer.
  2. Press Win + R, type contacts, and press Enter to open the built-in Windows Contacts folder (or navigate to C:\Users\<username>\Contacts).
  3. Click Import at the top toolbar.
  4. Select vCard (VCF file) and click Import.
  5. Browse to and select your exported iCloud .vcf file. Click through/confirm the contacts as they load, then click Close.
  6. Once the contacts appear in Windows Contacts, click Export on the toolbar.
  7. Choose CSV (Comma Separated Values) and click Export.
  8. Choose a destination folder (like your Desktop or Downloads) to save the .csv file.

2. Import the CSV File into New Outlook

  1. Open New Outlook.
  2. Select the People (contacts) icon on the left navigation bar.
  3. Look for the option to Manage contacts or Import contacts (often located in the top toolbar or settings of the People view).
  4. Select the .csv file you created from Windows Contacts and complete the import.
