How to claim my iTunes Ping Artist Page?

I know I can't even download iTunes 10 yet, but I'm just curious how this will work. I am a musician with 2 albums on the itunes store:

How would I go about "claiming" my artist page for iTunes Ping so that I could bring followers and fans over from Facebook and Twitter etc? Anyone know yet?

Just got this message from my rep. at Tunecore:

"We were fortunate enough to speak with Apple the day they launched Ping to begin working on getting the first TuneCore Artist Ping accounts set up. We will be able to get more and more TuneCore Artists set up over the next weeks as Apple works to authenticate and set up Ping Artist accounts for the millions of artists within iTunes."

Apple could totally make something big if they wanted. Like a CD Baby-esque system that's infused with the iTunes Store allowing independent artists to sell their stuff in iTunes.

If this existed already though, I'm sure Ping would take off faster.

Independent artists can already do this through services like CD Baby and Tunecore. They just can't get artist pages on iTunes. Yet anyway.......
