Ping does not appear in my iTunes

I'm in Canada and I don't get Ping. I actually don't care !!
This social media craze is juste that, CRAZY.
Do we actually need this? Do you actually want to tell your "friends" what you're buying and listening ?
Come on, let's go out and take a walk...

I live in the Dominican Republic, we have an iTunes Store, but have no Ping. Why?

I think it is ridicules for such services not to be available in all countries. After all we pay the same money for the products as the others do. I live in Malta, no music store thus no ping. Why should i stay buying gift cards from ebay and create a fake account when the others simply use their credit cards ?

In such instances, products such as the apple tv is rendered useless. Why should i buy a product that i cannot use ?!

I am living in Thailand, I have an iTunes account but I do not have Ping.

Indonesia, and no Ping. Discrimination I guess. I buy everything MAC but cannot get the simplest services like iTunes Store (complete) and a Social Network like Ping??????

Ok hold on....Jobs just has to get serious. I have a lot of respect for this guy but no ping internationally...really?Come on man. This makes it look like you are only targeting a certain market. It is just the same way folks in s.a can not get all itunes store features like that of states and UK. something needs to be done.I mean if payment visa is a standard i dont see why location has to matter.

Okay the Ping service is also not available for me. So I just contacted the Apple Store via e-mail and they were quite fast in responding back. This is what the customer service replied:

"Please note that the Ping service is only available in countries where there is currently an iTunes Store available which sells music.

Although purchasing music from the iTunes Store is not currently possible in your country, we do have an App Store for this country that you can purchase applications from.

Apple isn't interested in creating a social network. It's interested in iTunes users buying more and more media from iTunes.

How many of you people have Last fm installed in your computers?

Ping is available in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Netherlands, United Kingdom, and United States.

It isn't available for me either...

I'm in Chile and I have the same problem. Ping is available in 22 countries around the world.
