iTunes 10 not playing music

Never mind I fixed my own issue. I had issues when updating my audio driver which is what caused my itunes to not play my music. Re-installed driver and viola...everything plays perfectly

I too was having this problem of iTunes not playing my music, I would click on the play icon and or double click on the song and it would sit at 0.00 minutes and not move, also when I played a movie or TV show in iTunes it would show the video but with no sound and also if I went into quicktime I would be able to load up a song but again no sound however it would track the time. I found out that I had a clash of audio drivers and to sort you have to goto quicktime, open quicktime preferences and select audio tab and then click the select audio playback and recording devices button.

Badmannie is a genius. I tried like 10 different recommendations, and going into QuickTime was the fix that worked. Big ups, yo - TY, TY!

badmannie-Can you elaborate on what exactly I should try fixing once I am in the recording devices tab? I don't know much about how audio drivers work and I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out! Thanks.

Badmannie - I have looked for Quuicktime preference that you mentioned, but have not been able to find. Can you describe how to find the "preference" in Quicktime ?

I am having the same exact problems. I went into quicktime as one user did, and a window popped up saying there was an issue with a particular audio driver....so i thought maybe there was a conflict or something, but it was the only audio driver available. if i disable it, i have no audio at all. Im not sure if it corrected itself once i went into it; but i reinstalled itunes adfter doing this...and bam, MUSIC!!!! thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks opening the Quicktime preferences and clicking on the did fix the error. I got the driver error notice. Then I just restarted Itunes and had music again.

YES IT WORKS!! Important addition however: MAKE SURE TO CLOSE AND REOPEN iTunes after working on your QuickTime and addressing the Drivers issues. Then it will work. It did not when I fixed Quicktime and did not close iTunes.
