iTunes 10 re-opens after closing it

Funny (but annoying) thing actually. When I try to quit (cmd+q) iTunes while a song is playing it instantly re-opens. But this only occurs every second time that iTunes is opened.
Was this explanation understandable? If not, let me know and I'll give it another try.

So is anyone experiencing the same issue? Or is there already a thread regarding that topic existing? I was too lazy to go through all the iTunes 10 threads, which are (unfortunately) way too many.

One more thing: I installed and then uninstalled iTunes 109 (a program that brings parts of the iTunes 9 interface back) and I have no idea if I had this problem before. Also deleted the apple.com.itunes.plist file in the preferences but it didn't solved it.

Same solution I've been using. Hit [Command+"."] to stop music (not pause) before closing. I have my itunes library on a secondary interal hard drive and itunes and OSX installed on a SSD. Maybe this is the issue? The newest update to itunes May 16 2013 11.0.3 didn't fix it.

Actually - just found out my cause. I have a program called Hyperdock which adds some nice features to OSX and some features to itunes such as hovering over the itunes dock icon and getting cover art with prev,pause,next controls. I disabled the program and the problem went away.

Again, in my case, music was never started in iTunes and isn't playing when I try to close it, and I don't have any 3rd-party apps installed to augment iTunes. Then again, I've only seen this problem on Windows, not OS X.
