Need help tethering Canon EOS Rebel T1i with Macbook and Aperture 3

Hello,

I'm trying to run my Canon EOS Rebel T1i in tethered mode with Aperture but my Macbook running Snow Leopard 10.6.4 doesn't recognize it. I've updated all the available drivers such as EOS Utility which supposedly works but my camera is still unrecognized and options for tethering are grayed out. I've dug up several articles regarding tethering being compatible with 10.6.4 now with Aperture 3 and Lightroom 3 but I can't get past my Macbook even recognizing my camera first. I'd call Canon but it's labor day and nobody is home.

I'm trying to setup a photo booth and wanted to run my Camera in tethered mode so people could see their pictures pop up on screen as soon as they took them. I don't want to use the built-in macbook camera because the quality isn't what I'm looking for.
