ATI Radeon 5770 for 2008 Mac Pro

I just bought this card for my 2008 mac pro. According to the Apple store's Q&A, this card should work fine with my computer. I am curious if this is just a simple swap, or if I need to attach any additional power cable to the mother board.
Also, is it possible to use this card and the ATI Radeon HD2600 simultaneously on my computer? I have a USB card and a black magic HDMI in/out card I use for video already installed. Just want to make sure I won't pull too much power and overheat.
Thanks!

My comments about not enough power in my last post may be off the mark.

I have had the ATI 5770 and Nvidia 8800GT working fine for two days now.
It turns out that my new Lacie 2 terabyte usb drive has some kind of issue and the mac pro won't boot with it connected and the same thing happens when I connect it to my mac mini, not sure why this happens, it mounts after boot but goes to sleep and can't wake sometimes after being on for an hour or so, then I have to turn it off and on to remount it. I tried to do the same with another usb drive and both macs booted fine with it connected.

hi tundrabob, were you ever able to use the ATI 5770 for your MacPro 2,1, as I have the same model, but with the ATI X1900, and Leopard 10.5.8.

Currently use MacPro mostly for video editing with FCS2 (Final Cut Pro 6.0.6) but want to upgrade FCS 3 or start using Adobe CS5 Production Suite with Premier; I'm not planning to upgrade to Snow Leopard.

thanks in advance for any comments.
