What is Apple's return policy as far as if I do not like the item and wish to return it for a refund? For exempl. if I purchase anything at lets say B&H Photo and for any reason I don't like the item I can return it whitin 2 weeks no questions asked.

Apple's policy is hard to digest.I pay $400.00 for a iPod Touch and the sale is final?I don't wish to go into a contract with iTunes I already have it on my iMack. Are you sure this policy is not for iPhone only?

In other words if I don't open up the package I can return it for a full refund. But then of course I will have no idea whether I like the product or not.If I open the package and see if I like the product and decide to return it in 14 days they charge me a 10% restocking fee!Very generous of Apple!

Restocking fees are very common for electronics. Once the device has been opened and used, even a little, it can't be sold as new. Apple would either sell the device at a discount as a returned item or transfer it into its warranty program. Either way, they've taken a loss.

If you purchase from a dealer, you would have to ask that dealer about return policies, if any. You would not be able to return any such purchase directly to Apple; they will accept returns only on items purchased from the online Apple Store or a retail Apple Store.

No, as I said, the Apple Store will not accept a return of something purchased from another dealer, and would not accept a return even of something purchased from the Apple Store after "months". And after all this time I doubt that Best Buy would take it back either. You'll have to just sell the iPod yourself.

I called a Apple Store in Vegas, talked to a employee, promised to take my iPod Touch even if I bought it in Best Buy,went there 1 hour later, talked to the manager,he refused and never apologize for the employee's "mistake".Best Buy finally accepted my iPod Touch 32gb 3rd Generation without a receipt. This lady was so nice and gave me a gift card.Thank you!! Bad Apple Store!!
