Hold / Lock Feature

Does iPod shuffle 4G have it?

My 2G iPod shuffle and iPod (nano) had a hold / lock features -- holding the center button to lock out control, and setting the hold switch respectively.

They are very handy when I put the iPod in the pocket while working out to avoid random track jumping when bump into things .

My understanding is that it does not. See review at: http://bit.ly/b20n0s. I miss this feature, also. Maybe down the road they'll have an update to bring that back?

As someone who has never accidentally bumped it ever I find this "feature" to be awful, all it does is lock the sound on when I'm just trying to pause the thing. Is there anyway to get rid of it, its awful! Could you have the next update make it optional? Some kind of tickbox maybe?

As pj stated, perhaps you should sit there mashing the pause button for several seconds. But to point out, this "feature" is great so you can actually use the clip on the thing without sending the track back to 0:00 or changing tracks.
