there isn't a way to delete it as it is part of the native app.

first: you guys don't know how some of us have our apps and folders arranged, so you don't really know how much of a nuisance it is for those of us complaining. it is hugely annoying to me--it's my phone and i'd like to think i have some control over what i see on the screens.

second: the app will not stay in a folder. it pops back out at every sync. no one seems to have picked up on this obnoxious behavior.

While I agree it would be nice to be able to delete the game center app or any native iPhone app. But it doesn't mean Apple needs to make this happen just because we want it. Heck, I hate the fact that I have to sync my music and some photos instead of drag and dropping them on my Apple device. Yes we own the iPhone but we don't control how they implement the design.

Apple probably listens to their customers more than any other company does. Unfortunately for Apple, no other company has such demanding customers. You certainly don't hear consumers demanding changes to any other electronics like they do with Apple products.

"I totally agree....We are not all Apple Droids ...Give us the choice to keep or delete. And why oh why whenever somboby makes a comment abount 'choice' on these forums do you always get the same response....'Buy and Android phone'! We like Iphones which is why we have them but it doesn't mean we need to be spoon fed."

I'm with you Rollerman, I was fed up with the restrictions of the iPhone and OS, and to tell you the truth, the comment of "get an Android then" was actually the best solution anybody gave me, iPhone 4 went back to the store after just 3 days and bought an Android, couldn't be happier 🙂.

And doesn't it speak volumes about how happy you are that you're trolling around the iPhone forums still... The word for the day is "regret", boys and girls.

boone51,

Hmm, I think is backwards, you can't see that anyone else found a solution, ha ha!
Around here I am, yes, because I believe in the iPhone, not at the present time. Browsing here to find the latest updates and changes so I can come back to iOS in the future, and of course have friends here that don't accuse of envy, my decision to go with Android is base purely on functionality. As you can see I can make a quick decision, you can't, you have been brain washed to believe that there is nothing else but iPhones out there 🙂....peace.

Yes, I seem to have forgotten that since 2002. I suppose I'm a target in this thread because I'm the ONLY ONE dissatisfied with an answer (see top of topic thread where it tells me 1 answer is given) "there isn't a way to delete it as it is part of the native app." At least I'm assuming that is the answer to which the thread header is referring. So if that is the answer, why is the thread still open for posting? Or, did I miss the answer to the question "how do I remove Game Center?".
