DVD player controller missing

DVD player controller missing

When I am using the DVD player in sizes smaller than full screen mode I am unable to view the controller. I have to use the menu bar to control the dvd. I click Hide Controller and View Controller with no results. The only non-menu control that I see is the progress bar at the bottom of the dvd window.
Has anyone else experienced this problem and solved it?

Same here. I don't remember when it started, but I don't use the DVD player that much. Can't figure it out.

Click "Show Controller" in the "Window" menu.

Do you have another display attached? The controller might be off the main screen.

I also do not have another display so that's not the answer. During a recent update last week the controller appeared again so I thought the problem was solved. Today however after another update it is once again missing.
