I have the same problem but I havent updated anything.

I tried to download a APP and it says:

"Itunes could not connect to the itunes store. The network connection timed out"

1.) I checked my internet connection and it works
2.) I can't sign into my Itunes store account
3.) I have tired closing itunes and reopening it, - FAILED

Whats wrong??? It was working earlier today, i downloaded a few apps and it was all "hunky dory". Can someone offer some help?

Thanks

Its annoying, with the money Apple makes annually, and the past experience of problematic issues, and the endless versions/updates of its beloved music library "ITUNES"...you would of thought something like this will not occur AGAIN?.

I only got my Iphone 4 last friday, and I love it so much, don't get me wrong Apple do make good phones and good operating systems, but when it comes to itunes, its so bad, that I don't think I have every really found it or said it was "good" to use.

But hey ho, thats my opinion, hopefully this is just a temporary problem, will try and access my Itunes store later and see if it works..keep you all updated.

hay guys just wondering is anyone still having this problem?

lastnight i wanted to restore my iphone 3GS, and also update it. biggest mistake... it was running os 4.1 i clicked restore and it went through and did its thing up to the part where your iphone turns back on and needs to activate i believe? a message came up on itunes tellin me to leave my iphone connected to itunes as it will update and then instantly followed by an error message;

"We could not complete your iTunes Store request. The network connection was reset.
Make sure your network connection is active and try again."

i click on the iphone tab in itunes and it shows no information. just the same error. also on my iphone is shows the lockscreen saying slide for emergency call in different languages. and shows a picture of the USB cord connecting to the itunes icon... i have stayed up all night and all day today searching through forums and forums and attempting the same thing over and over i even updated itunes but still no cigar.

can anyone please help me... i am dead without my iphone im sure you guys can all relate

ohk nevermind i fixed my problem sort of... i went onto my dads computer and installed itunes and copy n pasted the backup folder from my computer to my dads and just pluged my iphone in and itunes just continued on the restore by activating the phone and loading my backup onto it which my computer failed to do... now my iphone is back to normal. im not sure what the problem was on my computer, didnt really solve the problem in a way, but it fixed my phone and just want to let other people out there know that you can revive ur phone on other computers just copy and paste your backup folder into the computer your goin to use and itunes thinks you used that computer for your last sync. just incase people out there didnt already know. cause i didnt lol.
