Calendar on iPhone 3G iOS 4.1 still very slow to open

Since I went from iOS 3 to the terrible 4 also my iPhone 3G has been very slow.

The biggest problem however seems isolated: when I open the Calendar app, it takes a very long time for it to open. Initially it opens as quick as it used to, however then the screen goes blank with only the calendar header available. Then after what could be 10 to 20 seconds the app is functioning is again and the screen is filled with my calendar data. This happens every time I start the app.

I have just now updated to 4.1 to see if this issue is solved, but there has been no improvement here.

My Calendar is synced through MobileMe and I have 2 calendars. Before iOS 4 it worked perfectly well and smooth.

Am I the only one with this problem? If yes, could I solve it by a Recovery action and rebuild the iPhone?

Slow here as well, and I'm using a iPhone 4.
Switching between views helps as noted earlier.

My iPhone 3 with the iOS 4.1 ap is a PAIN. All aps seem to work EXCEPT calendar. When I select the calendar I get a new event screen that shows no title, starting and ending dates, BUT I cannot cancel or use DONE to go back to main calendar. Pushing Delete Event doesn't work either.

Any suggestions so I can once again use the Calendar feature?

Thanks - your workaround worked for my iPhone 3G. Here's hoping Apple fixes the problem in the next release!

Count me in with the crowd with the permanently disappearing calendar. I sync with Google Calendar. Switching to month or week view and then back to list view works for me too - we all seem to have discovered this workaround on our own. Very annoying nevertheless.

I made the same mistake and "upgraded" to 4.1 on my 3g. I also have the same problem of no appointments showing in List view without selecting a different view first.

Same problem here with IPhone 3/OS4.1 What is more disappointing, in the attempt to fix it, I screwed up my iCal in macbook and Mobileme. I am very frustrated.

invest some time and resources in fixing this or communicating to us what you are doing about it....don't leave us hanging. We probably represent a larger portion of the population having this problem. I want to know if I need to start using an alternative Calendar app.
