Connection errors with Pioneer AVH P3100DVD Car Stereo after iOS4.1 Update

I just upgraded to iOS 4.1 and now my Pioneer AVH P3100DVD car stereo has a "skipping" problem like a record or CD with a scratch in it when connected to my iPhone 4.

I've tried disconnecting the USB cable, restarting both my iPhone 4 as well as my car stereo - nothing seems to work. Think of it as watching a streaming video having buffering issues, you hear about a half second of audio, then it drops out, then another half second of audio, drop out, etc.

Plugged in my Classic iPod which still works fine so I know it's not the stereo unit or the cable connection. Has to be something caused by the new software upgrade?

Worked flawlessly with my iPhone 4 up until installing the upgrade yesterday and now haven't been able to find a remedy to the problem. It's as if the stereo keeps dropping the connection every half second.

Anyone out there with the same problem and found a remedy?

MacBook Black, Mac OS X (10.4.11), iPhone 4 running iOS 4.1

For those running GPS or other apps which employ audio override of the ipod music periodically when both apps are running, merely having the GPS program or other similar app open will stop the music dropouts.. While this is not a solution, it does mitigate the effects of the incompatibility problem between 4.1 and the Pioneers units... I really wish Apple would better coordinate with hardware manufacturers before issuing new os's... I love the phone and the stereo, but every time Aplle issues a new os for the phone I cringe...

I have solved my problem.
My car's battery went down so my Pioneer reseted. After that I tried to connect the Ipod again and..... guess what? it worked.
After that, at night, I Sincronyzed the Ipod to PC, next morning I connected the Ipod and the Pioneer again and a "Stop" message comes in the pioneer screen. I decided to reboot the Ipod and It WORKED again.

Hope it works for you guys.
feedback.

I managed to fix the problem, but it's not something most of you are going to have the luxury of doing. I downgraded my iPhone4 back to iOS4.0.1. The restores and resets weren't helping, and while turning on airplane mode helped a bit, it didn't fully stop the distortion and skipping, not to mention you lose the ability to use your phone as a phone and you can say goodbye to streaming (Pandora, etc.). If you know how to downgrade I recommend doing so, if you don't, I'm sorry.

+1 here.
Just got a new 2010 Sentra yesterday and am having the same issue with my 3GS running 4.1. The SE-R with tech and sport package doesn't have Bluetooth option so I can't confirm it happens through Bluetooth but I'm getting an aftermarket bluetooth kit installed this week so I'll test.
I'm glad I checked here first cause I was going to go and tell Nissan it was their problem.....

So I'm having a different issue but also involving my pioneer Avh p3100dvd and my IPhone 4. I don't have any music actually sync'ed into my phone but I was able to play Pandora using the USB cord I was also able to control pandora using the stereo. Yesterday for the first time after connecting it the head read "no songs" I though upgrading my iphone4 to 6.0 version would help but it didnt i tired turning off the stereo that didn't help I even disconnect my battery the car in hopes that the stereo would rest but that didn't help either. And ideas?!?
