4th-gen iPod Touch overheating

I ordered on launch day and received my iPod Touch on Sep 9th.

I'm having trouble holding the device after about 30-minutes of continuous use. This is our family's 4th iPod Touch, and none of the others have warmed up this quickly or gotten this hot.

Specifically, the back of the device, about 1-2cm above the Apple logo (when held in portrait orientation) gets hot to the touch.

Questions:
- Is anybody else experiencing this?
- Is this related to the A4 chip? Does it just run hotter than the previous chips?
- Should I take it into my local Apple store and have someone look at it?

My IPod over heats for about 5 mins. I got it a few months ago and the very first time it did it was the day after Steve Jobs died, which I found very ironic. This is my 3rd 4th Gen. IPod in the past year an a half and everytime I go in to get it looked at I end up exchanging it for a new one with a fee of $100. I think I should get a free one because this one is perfectly fine besides it over heating randomly.
