Mac Book Pro and NEC Multisync LCD3090WQXi

I connected my NEC LCD monitor to my Mac Book Pro using a dual link DVI-D cord and the adaptor for the Mac Book but the highest resolution that I can get is 1024x576. Well, I could get 1200x740 or something like that before I closed the laptop in closed mode.

Anyway I can get full resolution and I need some help.

ok first off .. if you are using this in your machine in your details ( the i7 ) you are in the wrong forum
