Screen very yellow tone

So i use for two weeks without screen protection at low brightness and yellow was present, but now is the third day with max brightness and yellow seem to go away...can be a good presage?

One thing that I find it odd, is that you described it that in low setting that yellow was present, but that when in the max brightness that it goes away. I find that very odd, so definitly worth visiting the apple store.

I honestly don't have that issue on my iphone. When in low brightness I don't have the yellow screen, same goes for the high brightness.

Like I said, if you think you have a problem with it, get it replaced. Seems abnormal to me.

If you are still within the 30 day return period just get an exchange. If not you can always go to an Apple store and be confident that Apple will do the right thing .
However I would wait a week or two to see if the screen improves.

Just got a iPhone 4 this Friday. Guess what? I got a yellow screen. I will give it week to see anything changes. If not I will call Apple for a replacement. Here are some pics

yes man the same for me....but how can be possible that so many device have the same problem?
did you try to set brightness to max level? how is the yellow?

yes I have and it is still yellow

have you tried replacing your phone? It is worth trying to get it replaced. sure you may have the same issue on the replacement, but it will be unlikely.

lorelore1986 did you call Apple for a replacement? I did and they are sending me a brand new unit.

My screen has a slight yellow tinge but I don't obsess about it. Sure I'd prefer it to be more blatantly white but I just get along with things. I once got into the swapping phones thing with an HTC and I always wished I'd stayed with the original one because I ended up with other faults and build quality issues which I never had with the first handset.

there is no need to keep this thread alive. If other people have issues with the screen, they can search it up, or they can just take it to the apple store and get it replaced.

I disagree. I think people should be aware of this problem. By the way I am still waiting for you to provide proof that this adhesive glue that you are talking about is causing the entire screen to be yellow.

What proof? Why don't you just google it up? I've already told you that lcd is attached to the glass and to do so, they need to apply the adhesive glue so that the LCD can adhere to the glass. What more proof do you need?

I bet you that if you apply the same adhesive glue and apply it to the window, and put white paper over it, i'm sure at first when it's still wet, it will look yellowish color.

I'm only telling you what the genius technician have told me, and he was right that it was the adhesive glue. His mother even had this issue on her phone, she did not care about it, but after a week of usage, he told me that the yellow tint on the screen have disappeared.

Then tell me this, if Apple makes the background white in safari, settings, mail, music, photo, app store, music store, any native app that has white background, that's Apple, and they only have one and only one color which is white. Then what cause the screen to be yellow?

Have you been to ifixit.com? they do explain to use a heat gun so that the adhesive can be soften before removing the LCD from the glass, this is the same for the ipod touch.

If you still need more proof, then go google it yourself, and why don't you provide the info that it is not adhesive glue. You asked for it, you find it, and you provide it here finding proof that it is not. I have done my part. Now it's your turn.
