Changing the initial "cosmos" screen

There was a "how to" change the initial "cosmos" screen of snow leopard to anything you want. I had it done once but can't find it anymore. I googled all over the place.

Anybody can point me to the right place? I remember there where to terminal commands and I thought I had saved but I did not.

Thanks

This app, Loginox, does what you want a lot easier than using terminal commands.

Hmmm I just downloaded it and it did NOT work. I copy an iphoto picture, it seems to accept it. But when I reboot still the same picture.

Did you follow the instructions located on the loginox site? How did you "copy" the iphoto picture? You were supposed to launch loginox then drag the desired image to the New Login Image space in the loginox window, no copying involved. Then click on "Set new Login Image button. No renaming files involved. No ensuring image is in correct folder, etc. Just click and drag.

Here are the instructions http://www.loginox.branox.com/
