How do I register iWork?

I have installed iWork from a boxed CD purchased from Apple store.
I cant seem to find a serial number.
A window appears asking me to enter my purchased iWork 09 serial number.
Can anyone offer any help?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.4.8)

The serial number request is left over from your having previously installed the download (trial) version, which requires a serial number to activate the licence.
You'll need to remove the previously installed copy of the numbers applications and associated files (created by the application, not those created by you), then install the boxed version (which does not require entering a serial number).

It used to be that to update the trial to the licensed version with the box, you just inserted the DVD & ran the installer to convert the trial to licensed. This has changed with Snow Leopard. You now need to delete the trial & then reinstall from the boxed DVD. The files to delete are:

the iWork ’09 folder from the main HD > Applications
the iWork ’09 folder in HD > Library > Application Support
the individual iWork application plist files found in HD > Users > (your account) > Library > Preferences for each user.
