hypergeometric distribution on numbers 09?

Im taking a class called Quality Control and involves statistical analysis on production..
teacher told us to use a hypergeometric distribution to determine the probability of finding and specific amount of defective products in a sample...
there is a function called hypergeom on excel but i dont have it installed on my mac.. is there any similar function on numbers?

Koenig, you dont have to be rude. I already tried looking for the function on Numbers myself. Functions in excel and numbers are pretty similar but i was not able to find the hypergeometric function on NUMBERS. Im new to statistical analysis and I only know that a hypergeometric is very similar to a binomial but on the first one there is a limited population and on the second one is infinite. So if you know how to use the binomial function in NUMBERS as a hypergeometric or know if theres even one i would really appreciate some useful information.
I know how to use a hypergeometric distribution formula by hand but i have to use the formula like a hundred times for an assignment, so having numbers do it for me would be really helpful.

Is it so difficult to look by yourself in *_iWork Formulas and Functions User Guide_* ?

It seems that there is a serious epidemic of laziness since a few months.

I had fun looking that one up. You can figure out the formulas from your textbook or from these two Wikipedia pages:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binomial_coefficient

There's probably nothing on those pages you don't already know. The formulas are a bunch of factorials multiplied and divided by each other. I did it and got the right answers to the examples on the Wikipedia page so I'm sure you can do it.
