Well about 2 months ago I bought a new iphone 4 which fell into a drink about a month ago. Annoyed I bought a Blackberry and renewed my contract with it. However, a few days ago I got a new iPhone and when I tried connecting and activating it on itunes with my sim card it doesn't give the option to activate it. Any ideas on how to activate or do I need to go to an ATT store?
If this iPhone was purchased new in the U.S., a new SIM card was included and pre-installed in the iPhone. Use that SIM card to activate the iPhone with iTunes. You can't use the no longer activated SIM card from the IPhone that fell into the drink. If your Blackberry includes a micro-SIM card, you should be able to use that SIM card to activate the new iPhone.
Other than the above or if any of the above and no change, take the iPhone to an AT&T corporate store to have it activated.
Yeah that's what I was wondering...thing is I got it through some warranty thing so I didn't pay full price but only got the phone,no cables or new sim or w/e.
You did Apple's out of warranty or not covered under the warranty repair, which pays for an exchange.
Since you activated a Blackberry, you can't use the no longer activated SIM card from the iPhone that was exchanged and unless the Blackberry includes a micro-SIM card, you can't use that SIM card either - not unless you cut it down manually, so stop by an AT&T corporate store tomorrow to get a new micro-SIM card for the iPhone where you can have the iPhone activated as well.
