Airport Extreme/Timecapsule with BT Infinity

Hi there.

For anyone in the UK, the BT man has just left and I am now the brand new owner of full 40mb broadband which is a godsend after my crappy old connection was only giving me 650k over the last week!

However, I digress. I cannot get my connection to work through my Extreme/Timecapsule. Could anyone who has BT Infinity working through their Extreme PLEASE tell me what they've used as I'm tearing my hair out trying to get the bloody thing to work!!!

Everything works fine with the Homehub 2.0 connected via the ethernet cable straight into my Power Mac but when I unplug the red WAN cable and the yellow Ethernet cable and plug them into my Extreme I get the flashing amber light from ****.

Thanks a lot.

I have infinity here and use an Airport Extreme into the BT supplied modem. I use a combination of wired and wireless connected computers plus iPads and smartphones and the connection handles it all no problem at all.

Far more stable than the HH2 or HH3, I have done range tests on 2.4GHz and the Airport is no better or worse than the BT hubs.

I am close to the BT Cabinet so I normally get 76Mb down and 18Mb upload most of the time.

I'm going to keep this old thread alive - FTTC only just arrived where I live & my service through my Openreach modem/ AEBS is excellent; http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3301932915 (74Mb/s down, 16Mb/s up, 10ms Ping (in case the link fails)).

Experiencing one massive problem though - I'm trying to set up a hardrive attached to the AEBS to be accessible remotely, but with no luck. Anyone else managed to do this (Mac to Mac/ afp)?
