New iMac is fantastic but...occasionally randomly turns off??

Hey all! Loving my new i7 quad-core iMac. Working amazingly smoothly with Logic, Photoshop, etc. Only problem is...it occasionally just turns off. No shut down process, no noise, no weird images or indicators, just entirely shuts off in the blink of an eye. I've had the iMac for about two weeks now and this has happened 6 times. Fortunately, never during data transfer or when running Logic sessions or when having any Photoshop projects opened, only when using Safari. Anyone else hear of this happening? I'm avoiding booking a genius bar appointment because otherwise it's been perfect. Something I should worry about or is this just a bug? THANK YOU!!!

Memory & Freeze Problem: 27" iMac, Mid 2011, 2.7 GHz i5

I had this machine for years without a problem at stock 4GB Ram.

Upgraded a few weeks back to 12GB by adding two Corsair 4GB modules from Amazon. CMSA8GC3M2A1333C9. I had no problems.

I decided to go to 16GB by removing the original 2, 2GB modules and replacing them with 2 additional 4GB ones. They are the same as the first new set of modules.

The machine would freeze (No mouse or keyboard response) and randomly restart. I happened multiple times per day. The machine was unusable.

I ran AHT and everything passed. I ran that test twice along with one other memory test.

I returned the memory to Amazon who quickly sent me two new modules. I put them in and immediatly I have the same problem.

The memory spec is exactly what Apple recommends. There are even Mac logos all over the package.

I have read about problems upgrading this machine to 16GB. That is crap. There must be a fix if apple says the machine supports 16GB.

In the intrim I will return the latest two modules to Amazon.
