Apple TV - format not supported

I am trying to play a movie from my Apple Tv. It says that the format is not supported. The movie can be played in iTunes and if I try to convert it into Apple Tv-format in iTunes (advanced etc ....) it states that it cannot be converted because it has already the right format. Confused ? I am ! Any clue how to fix this problem ?

imac, Mac OS X (10.6.4)

usually, restarting iTunes and/or the TV fixes that problem.

Welcome to the  Discussion Forums.

If restarting doesn't help, post the movie specs, See This, and your workflow for creating it originally.

Make sure the audio is formatted to 128 kbps when ripping. This should fix the issue.

Restarting doesn't help.

The movie specs are:

Format: H.264, 960 x 540, Millioner
AAC, 2 kanaler, 48000 Hz

BPS:30

Frequency: 1.656,56

Is that what you need ? It has been created using Aimersoft Total Media Converter.

Hi - I've got similar problems. .mov files that play fine in Quicktime but won't on my AppleTV.

Format: H.264, 480x272, Millions AAC, 2 Channels, 44100Hz
FPS: 25
Data Size: 126MB
Data Rate: 516.20 kbits/s

Any ideas as to how to fix this would be gratefully received.
